The Parc Explor Wendel is a pleasant place to walk and discover the scenery which changes as the seasons pass, revealing its many different facets. We all carry cameras or mobile phones in our daily lives, and there are many ways of immortalising often unique moments.

In an attempt to highlight the site as a whole, the Musée Les Mineurs Wendel in Petite-Rosselle is organising a photo competition focusing on three themes (industrial heritage, scenes of life, flora and fauna) running from 23 October to 31 December 2012.

The competition is free and open to all: adults and children, beginners and experienced photographers. It covers both the internal spaces of the Musée les Mineurs Wendel and the La Mine Wendel and the outside spaces.
The entry form is available here and the shots selected can be sent to photo competition. The jury will be made up of local tourism representatives, competition organisers, a journalist and also three members of the Photo Caméra Club Objectif du Bassin Houiller, based in Petite-Rosselle.

Once the jury has reached a decision, the prize will be awarded in February 2013 alongside an exhibition displaying all the competition winners.
There are plenty of prizes to excite lovers of industrial tourism: partner vouchers worth €100 or €300 depending on the place awarded, a mining lamp, an annual pass to the two museums and much more.

This photography event is an opportunity to discover or rediscover this mining world which is our region’s pride and joy, and show it off in beautiful shots.
