Visit to mining communities

On foot or by bus, let one of our guides tell you the story of the Petite-Rosselle mining communities and discover the architecture designed by mining companies between the mid-19th century and the 1960s.

Miners’ terraces and semi-detached or detached workers’ houses, engineers’ and employees’ homes, dormitories, a hospital and more parade past during your visit through the various communities of ‘Wendel Nord’, ‘Wendel Sud’, ‘Leyenne’ and ‘Urselbach’.

Visit on foot:

  • The visit leaves from the Musée Les Mineurs Wendel entrance. The route is around 8 km long and takes around 2 hours.

Visit by bus:

  • The visit leaves from the Musée Les Mineurs Wendel entrance.
  • A guide joins you on the bus and gives directions to the driver.
  • The tour lasts around an hour.
